SPARC (Support|Peer|Activism|Resources|Connection) is a group of students dedicated to engaging in advocacy and activism around issues of interpersonal violence on UK's campus.

This is a new program at the VIP Center, so I needed to create marketing materials that were accessible to students to pass along the information.

After several drafts, trying to get the spark just right… about the collective power that this group of students will be I found several ways to visually represent this.

I created a matchbook after the first attempt when I folded it started to look like an old book of matches. I decided this would work really well for this particular marketing piece and explored it more. Students responded well and liked that the size was not standard. They were also very portable and made it easy to take to classes and pass out as well as at tabling events.
